Dear filmmakers and friends of the Universe Multicultural Film Festival, we hope these words will find you safe and sound during this global uncertainty. In the past few months, we've experienced something we never had in most of our lives. It's terrifying, it's horrible, but the most important is we are facing this challenge altogether, no matter which corner you live on earth. For the past 16 years, UMFF has been working on providing the best film festival quality to filmmakers from all over the world and promoting the cultures of all human beings.
This time period is special, but there were no dark days in the human history that didn't have an ending. We will celebrate that day all together and praise those excellent films at UMFF. For everyone's safety concern, we made this decision very hard after a serious discussion among the UMFF committee that we will postpone this year's event dates and deadline. The new dates will be as following:
Extended deadline: May 31st, 2020
Date of Notification: June 1st, 2020
Event dates: June 26th - 28th, 2020
To look at the bright side, this will offer more opportunities for those who couldn't catch up with the former deadline due to their production schedule. So don't miss this precious chance and hopefully we will meet soon in Hollywood this June.
